Federation of International Football Association has reduced three points from the Super Eagles’ accumulated points during the just concluded 2018 World Cup Qualifying series for fielding Shehu Abdullahi during the encounter against Algeria in Constantine.

Abdullahi has been booked in two consecutive matches and was supposed to serve a compulsory one-match ban in the encounter but he defaulted it.

The deduction did not affect the standing in the Group B of the African qualifiers as Nigeria finished six points clear of the Zambia who came second in the group.
