Members of the Ilobu National Student Union during the weekend honoured Barr. Mikhail Adejare Adebisi, the late Deputy Chief of Staff on General Administration to Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
Adebisi died on June 12, 2020 after brief illness.
Adebisi was honoured with an award and a bus stop was also commissioned on his name by the union.
In his short remarks, Governor Gboyega Oyetola who was represented by his Senior Special Assistant on students’ matters and social mobilization, Kehinde Ayantunji described late Adebisi as an icon of prudence, integrity and loyalty in public service.
Speaking at the commissioning, the Grand Patron of INSU, Dr Lekan Yusuff described Adebisi a man whose legacy in public and community service will remain fresh in minds. He urged young generation to learn from the life of the late lawyer.
Yusuff appreciated the leadership of the union for honouring the deceased, who also served as the president of the union in 1994.
Wife of the late Adebisi, Maryam represented received the award on behalf of his family. She also appreciated the union for remembering her husband. commisions
