Osun State Government will anytime from now receive thirteen trucks of rice as palliatives from Coalition Against COVID-19, CACOVID.

The rice, according to a letter sent to the Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Investment, Bode Olanipekun by CACOVID, is the remaining part of the food palliatives for the people of the State.

The rice will be 40,322 10kg of packs and is expected to be delivered into the state as soon as possible.

The letter signed by Osayi Alile, Co-Administrator of CACOVID read in parts, “I write in continuation of our efforts to conclude the delivery of all CACOVID food reliat itema to Osun State. You will be pleased to be informed that we have now secured the full consignment of the rice component of the food reliet items (totaling 40,322 ×10 kg bags of rice – approximately 13 trucks designated for the good people of Osun State that was previously unavailable due to the procurement challenges faced during the earlier nationwide lockdown.

Accordingly, we seek your kind go ahead to commence the delivery of the rice consignment as soon as possible and your support with the timoly onward distribution to the intended beneficiaries in all the Local Government Areas of the State. Your expeditious action would be greatly appreciated to forestall a repeat of the unfortunate events that avertook the earlier supplies of tood reliet materiala.
