The Chairman of Irepodun Local Government, Ilobu has called on residents of Osun State and Nigerians at large to be full of optimism as they enter New Year 2021.
Oyedeji, in a statement on Friday morning, said the year 2021 might have come with disappointment, but the New Year has presented a new slate for a fresh begining.
The council boss congratulated the Governor of the State, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, who he described as the “real man of the year for stirring the state out if uncertainty that beclouded 2020.”
“From COVID-19 to EndSARS to attack on our dear Governor Gboyega Oyetola, 2020 was full of challenges. However, 2021 has presented a new slate for a fresh begining and optimism.
“I want to call on every residents of Irepodun, Osun State and Nigerians at large to see the fresh begining as an opportunity to make a difference and dare to do new and great things. The woes of 2020 should be left behind us and we must set out for a successful year.
“I congratulate our amiable Governor, the Real Man of the Year for stirring our state out of uncertainty that beclouded it during the thick of COVID-19 pandemic. His experience, sagacity and proactiveness proved the difference as our state weathered the storm perfectly than many others.”
Oyedeji also called for more support to his administration and that of Governor Oyetola.
“While we appreciate every Resident’s support and understanding throughout the 2020, we solicit for more support for administration, that of Governor Oyetola and the APC federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari.”
