The Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State deeply sympathizes with the traditional council and the noble people of Ifon Orolu kingdom over the loss of Kabiyesi, Oba Al-Maroof Adekunle Magbagbeola Olumoyero II, Who joined his ancestors on Wednesday.
A statement by the State party Chairman, Sunday Bisi after paying a condolence visit to the palace on Thursday, described the late monarch as a true father.
Bisi said, “The ancient kingdom no doubt, has lost a true father who devoted his reign to building a modern Ifon Orolu with a chest of evangelical love and sacrifice. Baba was a father with a large heart of service to his subjects, no matter their color, race or beliefs.
“He was never discriminatory and so accommodating such that Ifon Orolu today is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Osun State, peacefully housing citizens from all parts of the country with diverse cultural and religious leanings. He will be remembered as a progenitor of modern Ifon, an ancient kingdom of undisputable historical heritage in Yoruba land.
“Our thoughts are with the immediate family, the palace and the kingdom Kabiyesi left behind.”
