Life is a journey from the cradle to the grave, a sojourn from the start to the end, and an adventure from the beginning to the extreme of our very existence. There may be more to life aside living, there may be more to living aside existence, but our existence can never outrage the space of time ordained by God Almighty.
Barrister Mikah’il Adejare Adebisi is one of the very few that learnt that “courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it”. It’s not obfuscated that Jare Adebisi is a great philanthropist in the township of ilobu, and beyond. His generosity and his magnanimity cannot be overlooked in a twinkle of an eye. He had a room that accommodates everyone with different burden. His love for mankind is uncanny, and he was ardent believer in the philosophy of humanism which drives him into some humanitarian services without expecting ‘thank you’ in return.
He’s a kind of man that believes in selfless service to humanity, he believes solely that being of service to others is what brings true happiness. To give real service you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity.
As a Lawyer and adept administrator, he contributed massively in the building of a just and formidable society with what God has bestowed on him, he was workaholic, active and loyal to the cause of governance, he gave life to some people in silence, and wipe some people’s tears inwardly and there’s only one word very close to his mouth, ‘if not me, it could be another person’.
His services to the state of Osun in different positions and his personal lifestyle gave him a worthy name that could replicate a loyal and integrity symbol with holiness, rectitude and uprightness. He was able to serve as Assistant Chief of Staff to the Governor, State of Osun (Nov 2011 to Nov 2014), Principal Partner, Adejare Adebisi & Co, Solicitors, Advocates, Corporate & Property Consultants (Dec 2014 to death), Special Adviser, Governor Office, State of Osun (May 2017 to November 2018), Supervisor – General Administration and Local Government, State of Osun. (December 2018), before his death, he was the Pioneer Deputy Chief of Staff on General Administration and Patron of many organizations, both in and outside the state of Osun.
Jare Adebisi’s journey through life was quite short but eventful, he was a seasoned administrator with vast and charismatic skills that can not easily be quenched by just a mere approach. He was a resilient, confident and hardworking man till his last breath. Even in death, Jare Adebisi still maintains his iconic voice of morality and undiluted spirit of sportsmanship giving us a clue that, it’s not how far we have lived but how well.
This noble man lived a fulfilled life, and within a year of his departure, he had been sorely missed for his quick and adept solutions to problems. His beautiful and charming legacies will forever stand gallantly on the principle of love for the priority he gave to his people while alive. Beyond his kindness and compassion, he was amiable, reliable and dynamic to the core. His departure has left a very big vacuum difficult to fill.
“If goodness can guarantee immortality, Jare Adebisi could live long”. We beseech God’s unending favour, mercies and leniency to grant our dear patriot and breadwinner with a symbol of dynamism and comestible ideology, an eternal rest and raise his status among the righteous till we meet again on the resurrection day.
“You’ll always live in our heart as an accomplished hero, and your memory would forever remain sweet and evergreen as you’ve written your name indelibly on the sands of time”.
