The Oyo State College of Nursing Sciences, Eleyele, has announced that 75 of its students have received support from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

The college’s provost, Gbonjubola Owolabi, made the announcement during a meeting with the management team at the college’s Ibadan campus.

Owolabi revealed that 75 out of the 78 students who applied were granted the loan, with the funds disbursed on Thursday.

Owolabi expressed her appreciation to NELFUND, noting that the initiative alleviates the financial challenges faced by students, allowing them to continue their education without interruption.

She congratulated the 75 successful applicants and encouraged others to apply for the loan to ease their financial burdens.

It has been revealed that nearly 96% of the applicants received funding that fully covered their tuition fees.

The college also plans to hold a meeting with the loan recipients to finalize the necessary documentation for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This initiative highlights the crucial role of financial assistance in supporting students, especially those facing economic difficulties, ensuring they can complete their studies successfully.
