Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has stated that ward congresses slated for today will go ahead, calling on members to disregard the rumour.
Alhaji Tajudeen Aro Folaranmi, State Publicity Secretary of Kwara APC caretaker committee said this in a statement on Saturday. He said the viral report of suspension is fake.
The statement reads, “We wish to state categorically without any fear that ward congresses shall hold in Kwara State simultaneously with other states of the country today as scheduled.
“We are aware of the source of the discredited contents and equally not willing to beat a man who’s already down. It would be charitable for the intransigent few to join the moving train with their followers rather than indulge in this shameless moutitude using a footloose online urchin to amplify such falsehood.
“We urge the public and importantly, party faithfuls to disregard the rumour and participate in the ward congresses accordingly.”
