The Provost of the College of Social and Management Sciences, Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, Prof. Adeolu Durotoye has been conferred with an award of “Distinguished Academic of the year ” by the Society for Research and Academic Excellence of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
During the award ceremony on Tuesday February 6th, Professor Durotoye was described as an erudite scholar of no mean stature who has contributed immensely to academic scholarship in Nigeria and beyond.
The founder of ABUAD, Aare Afe Babalola and the university community at large have shown their excitement over the achievement of one of their own.
Aare Babalola described Professor Durotoye as a pride to the institution, academic world and a blessing to Osun State (his native state).
It will be recalled that Prof. Adeolu Durotoye is also the recipient of “Utility teacher of the year” award of Afe Babalola University in October 2017.
