Reality TV star Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, and Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing are set to settle their rivalry in the boxing ring as they face off in a celebrity bout on October 1, 2026.
The highly anticipated contest, tagged “Phyna vs Nkechi,” will take place at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos as part of Balmoral Group Promotions’ “Chaos in the Ring” series.
The bout was announced by Balmoral Group Promotions and DAZN Boxing on Friday, with the event scheduled to be broadcast live on DAZN and SuperSport.
Promotional materials released by the organisers showed Phyna and Nkechi dressed in boxing gear as they prepare for the Independence Day clash.
The contest is powered by Bet9ja and will be the latest addition to the growing “Chaos in the Ring” celebrity boxing series, which has previously featured entertainers such as Portable, Charles Okocha, Speed Darlington and Carter Efe.
The organisers are yet to announce details of the undercard and ticketing arrangements for the October 1 event.
The clash is expected to attract attention from fans of both celebrities as they trade the entertainment spotlight for a night in the boxing ring.
