In pursuit of its avowed commitment towards uplifting people out of poverty, leading non-governmental organization in Osun State, Wisdom Charity Foundation on Saturday opened its global headquarters in Ilobu, Irepodun local government area of the State.
The commissioning, which coincides with official launch of operations of the organization after completing registration with the Federal Government of Nigeria, was attended by well meaning individuals across all walks of life.
Wisdom Charity Foundation has its core objective in the needs to help less privileged in the grassroots and it has been in existence since 2020.
About 200 persons benefitted from the food items distributed by the organization to mark commencement of operations post registration. Beneficiaries were less privileged in the society.
Speaking at the event, Founder of the organization, Mr Sarafadeen Jimoh said his driving force is the need to help others. He added that the organization has no link to any political or religious body and its operations will be isolated from politics and religion.
Jimoh said, “in advanced environment, we have so many groups like this whose major assignment is to help the needy in the society. Many philanthropists are out there who wish to give but have no link with those in need of their support. As a charity organization, we shall be the link between the less privileged and the privileged in the society.
“Our office shall be opened for genuine complaints and not flimsy ones. We hope to also help build Infrastructures like borehole water, culvert, among others that may be needed in rural environment.”
Also speaking shortly after commissioning the office, Grand Patron of the organization, Professor M.B.A. Ogunsola applauded the founder of the group for the initiative. He said the community needs such organization for a rapid development.
In his contribution, the Chairman of the governing council of the group, Alh. Raheem Kolapo Sanusi called on wealthy individuals to join hands with Wisdom Charity Foundation to move reduce the poverty level in the grassroots. He said the organization is anchored on service to humanity and will ensure that fear of God pilots their affairs.
