National Association of Osun State Students, (NAOSS) National Secretariat has dissociated herself from the an Open letter purportedly written by an officer of the association.
The letter which was directed to the Executive Governor, State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola was based on the issue of Students’ bursary.
A statement jointly signed by the National President of the association, Comrade Adeyemo Hakeem Adefemi, General Secretary, Comrade Salami Abiodun and the National Public Relations Officer, Adeboye Olayinka made it known that the letter did not originate from any organ of NAOSS and does not represent the view of Osun students.
It reads in part “The attention of the National Association of Osun State Students, (NAOSS) National Secretariat has been drawn to a purported Open Letter circulating on social media directed to the Governor, State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on Student Bursary payment by one of the national executive of the association.”
“The National Secretariat of NAOSS for the purpose of clarity wish to state categorically that at no time any officer or organ of the NAOSS was authorised by the National Executive Council, Parliament or Congress to issue such letter. There are process and procedure in the NAOSS rule of engagements and wish to state that the said letter never represent the view of any NAOSS organ, or officer.”
“We therefore dismiss the purported letter in its entirety. members of the public particularly the media should note,” the statement concluded.
