Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has redeployed the Commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Hon. Bayo Lawal to Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment.
The redeployment was announced at the Executive Council meeting at the Executive Chamber of the Governor’s Office, in Ibadan.
A statement by the Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun indicated that the Governor directed Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye to henceforth head the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
In attendance at the meeting was the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Bayo Lawal, which is his first executive council meeting after he was sworn in as the Deputy Governor of Oyo State.
Also in attendance were the Secretary to the State Government, Olubamiwo Adeosun; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Segun Ogunwuyi and others.
It’s unclear if the redeployment is connected with crisis trailing the appointment of first class traditional rulers in the State.
