Tragedy was on Thursday averted when the helicopter of Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo had to embark on an emergency landing few seconds after it took off.
The Vice President took off at Customs command and staff college, Gwangalada, Abuja where he attended a ceremony and later landed some seconds later.
The helicopter had earlier conveyed Prof Yemi Osinbajo to the venue but later developed a technical fault that made it not to ascend beyond tree level.
After the incident, Osinbajo reportedly left the venue by road.
