Senator Ademola Adeleke has emerged as the governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party for the September 22nd election in Osun State.
Senator Adeleke defeated other three aspirants in a keenly contested primary in Osogbo on Saturday.
The aspirants he defeated are former Secretary to the state government, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, Business Mogul, Akin Ogunbiyi and Legal Luminary, Nathaniel Oke, SAN.
Adeleke polled a total of 1569 votes while his closest rival, Akin Ogunbiyi has a total vote of 1559.
Announcing the results, the Chairman of the governorship primary, Governor Seriake Dickson advised all the aspirants who lost to work for the success of the party.
