…….Says Tinubu/Shettima will not interfere in Osun governorship litigation.
As the Presidential and National Assembly election remains five days, the Director-General of Tinubu-Shettima Ambassadors (TSA), Prince Oyelude Oladele, has advised the Governor of Osun State, Sen. Ademola Adeleke not to be an ‘Okowa of South West’ region by betraying the unanimous agreement of Southern Governors Forum.
In a press release made available to pressmen in Osogbo, Prince Oyelude Oladele gave an assurance that the APC Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima will not interfere in the ongoing governorship litigation both at the Appeal and Supreme Courts respectively.
The Director General of TSA recalled how the the Southern Governors Forum held meetings in Delta and Lagos States twice with unanimous agreement, advise Osun State Governor, Sen. Ademola Adeleke to stick to the resolution.
“Recalled that the Southern Governors Forum held a meeting on the 11th of May 2021, hosted by the governor of Delta State, Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa which was tagged the ‘Asaba Accord’ and the second meeting on the 5th July 2021, hosted by Lagos State governor, Gov. Babajide Sanwoolu where it was declared that Nigeria’s next president should be from the southern part of the country which was unfortunately breached by same Governor of Delta State, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as he accepted to be PDP Vice Presidential candidate.
“Since the November 27th inauguration of Sen. Ademola Adeleke as Osun State Governor, the six South West Governors are not in conformity with the resolution of the Southern Governors Forum as Senator Ademola Adeleke is supporting a presidential candidate from the Northern extraction while other 5 governors of Ekiti, Ondo, Lagos, Ogun and Oyo are still in unison. I will advise Sen. Ademola Adeleke to retrace his steps for him not to be regarded as the ‘Okowa of South West.’
Oyelude also debunked the claim that the APC Presidential candidate and his running mate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Sen. Kashim Shettima will remove Osun State Governor if he wins the February 25th presidential election.
“My investigation reveals that many members of the PDP and other parties in Osun State are fully ready to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a candidate from the Southern region but some srlfish politicians in the state were claiming that Asiwaju will remove Adeleke if he becomes president.
“As we all know that justice must surely take its course, I must say it categorically that the APC Presidential candidate and his running mate will never interfere in Osun State Governorship election litigation, both Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Sen. Kashim Shettima are not legal professionals, they are not Senior Advocates of Nigeria and they are not Justices of the Appeal and Supreme Courts, so they can never interfere in such legal matter.
“The last Osun govetnorship tribunal judgement that ordered the certificate of returns given to the state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke be withdrawn with immediate effect wasn’t as result of anybody’s interference, it was a judicial decision based on over voting and certificate forgery according to the judgement.
“The case has been appealed and cross appealed and justice must prevail without anybody’s interference. As I must advise Sen. Ademola Adeleke to emulate his colleague, the Governor of Oyo State who’s strictly complying with the resolution of the Southern Governors Forum, I will as well encourage the good people of Osun State to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu irrespective of their political parties for justice, equity, fairness and unity of Nigeria.
