Osun State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has described the newly appointed Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment, Barrister (Mrs) Abimbola Babatunde as exceptional qualified for the appointment.
This is as the Association also appreciated the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for approving the elevation.
This was expressed by the Chairperson, Osun NAWOJ, Mrs Motunrayo Ayegbayo in her remarks during the courtesy call paid on Mrs Abimbola Babatunde in her office.
Describing Mrs Babatunde as an excellent boss, who believes in efficiency of service delivery, she also accounted her as more than qualified for the post, being one of the oldest Directors in her former workplace and having spent about thirty one years in service.
Ayegbayo added that Mrs Babatunde is a woman of superlative good report, being a good Team Leader, hardworking, dedicated attentive and supportive.
Speaking further, she applauded the sincerity and generosity of Governor Ademola Adeleke on the inclusion of sizeable number of women in the appointment, adding that through the level playing ground created, the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists has achieved another success by having its member as Permanent Secretary in Osun Public Service.
She then reiterated the readiness of the Association to collaborate with the Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment and Osun State Government in the area of public enlightenment and information.
In their separate goodwill messages, a former Chairperson of the Association, Mrs Toyin Adeoye, and the Vice Chairperson, Mrs Abosede Egbedele eulogized Mrs Babatunde and prayed for God’s wisdom and guidance in piloting the affairs of the Ministry.
In her response, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment, Barrister (Mrs) Abimbola Babatunde thanked God for counting her worthy of being the first Journalist to become a Permanent Secretary in Osun state.
She also gave kudos to Governor Ademola Adeleke for the merit based appointment, adding that she is proud to be a member of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ and Nigeria Union of Journalist, NUJ, Osun Council, an appointment she labelled as an honor to all members of the pen profession.
Mrs Babatunde charged that all hands must be on deck to support the government of Senator Ademola Adeleke, particularly his 5-point agenda for the benefits of the people of the State.
She reiterated her resolve to boost the government of Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke through the platform of the Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment.
