All is set for the members of the Idera De Foundation, the political structure of former candidate of the Accord Party in the 2022 general elections, Dr Akin Ogunbiyi to join the All Progressives Congress.
According to findings by InsightMedia, the official decamping of hundreds of Ogunbiyi’s foot soldiers, will take place at his hometown of Ileogbo, Ayedire local government area of the State on Wednesday.
Ogunbiyi, who contested the for the governorship ticket of the People’s Democratic Party in 2018 and was in the Party untill March 2022, will be joining the APC with his Idere De team.
Confirming the development, a lieutenant of Ogunbiyi, Engr Dare Ojo said the members of Idera De team in Ayedire, Iwo and Ola-Oluwa have decided to move to the APC.
He however said Ogunbiyi has not made up his mind to defect, stating that “if he later thinks he wants to join APC, he will let the world know.”
