Leaders of the Social Democratic Party in Osun State have denied the rumour that the party has collapsed into the All Progressives Congress in the state.
The Party hierarchies who held a meeting at Fakunle secretariat in Osogbo, on Monday stated that the misinformation being carried by the former deputy governor of Osun State Senator Iyiola Omisore is unfounded, fallacious and a curse that never exist.
They the said directive does not have the sanction of the National leadership of the party and thus, becomes an anti-party activity.
Speaking shortly after the meeting, a foremost leader of the party in the state, Chief Omole Agboworin described the act of the former Osun East senator as anti-party and warned him to stop negotiating with the future of the SDP.
Chief Agnoworin said, “the rumour is a course that never exist and it will never exist in Jesus Name.
About the future of the SDP in the state, he said “we are now standing as a united and indivisible party. We will win some seats in the state assembly, House of Representatives and seat of Osun Central Senatorial District in this 2019 election.”
The party chieftain added that among the resolutions of the meeting is that the Ogo-Oluwa office will seize to be the party secretariat and the leadership in the state will soon announce the new party office while the Fakunle office will be used in the interim.
He urged all the SDP supporters and loyalists in the state to join hands with the rebuilding team and shun the anti-party activities being led by Iyiola Omisore.
Among those at the meeting are Chief Ademola Ishola, Osun Central Senatorial District Candidate, Otunba Solomon Ayotunde Babatunde, Elder Femi Awe, Mrs Oluwabunmi Daramola, Prince Sola Makanjuola, Mrs Alabi Blessing, Chief Amale and the host others.
The leaders all agreed to work towards the success of the party in the forthcoming elections to deliver Otunba Babatunde as Senator, Osun Central and also deliver other seats in the reps and state assembly.
