Members of the Theatre Art and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria have explained that Veteran Nollywood actor, Chief Adedeji Aderemi, popularly known as Olofa Ina died in his country home in Ede, Osun State.
Olofa Ina’s death was said to have occurred Thursday evening, as details of how he died were not immediately available.
Actor and director, Saidi Balogun announced the death of Olofa Ina via an Instagram post on Thursday.
However, confirming the development, a member of Theatre Art and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, Osun State chapter, Ademola Adedokun revealed that the late Aderemi died in his home in Ede, Osun State, after a brief sickness.
He added that before his death was announced, there was no prior information that the late actor was indisposed.
He also said a delegation from TAMPAM would be visiting the family to discuss burial plans shortly.
“Baba Adediji Aderemi, popularly known as Olofa ‘na is dead. Going by what we were told, he died in his house in Ede this evening.
“We were shocked to hear of his death because we didn’t hear of his sickness. We will be visiting the family to discuss the burial plans.
“We are in mourning. We will miss him,” Adedokun said.
