The court of appeal has on Thursday halted the trial of Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen at the code of conduct tribunal.
The three-man panel suspended the proceeding of trial of the CJN over false declaration of assets.
The panel granted the interim order pending ruling on the CJN’s application for stay of proceedings, Channels TV reports.
Onnoghen approached the appellate court to determine the jurisdiction of the CCT to try him over the charges leveled against him.
