As the presidential campaign continues, there’s been a growing concerns over the whereabouts of the First Lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari as she has been absent on the stage for days.
President Muhammadu Buhari has been going from states to states to canvass votes for his re-election bid.
TheCable understands that she is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Germany, however, her office has neither confirmed or denied the speculations about her.
When contacted for comment, the media aide to the wife of the president, Mr Suleiman Haruna simply said he has no comment.
“Honestly, honestly, I don’t have any comment on that. People have been calling me. I don’t have any comment on that,” Haruna said.
Speaking with TheCable on Wednesday, a presidency source explained that the president’s wife has not been seen campaigning for her husband “because she is ill”.
“For about two weeks now, you will observe that the president’s wife has not been campaigning. She is ill and she has travelled abroad for treatment,” the source said.
