Following the letter by Osun State government, the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun has postponed the town hall meeting scheduled to hold on Saturday at his Palace indefinitely.

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Osun State Barr Samuel Ojo, had on Wednesday informed the monarch to the postpone the town hall meeting of all indigenes of Osogbo because of what he called “security reasons”.

A statement by the Chairman of Osogbo Reconciliation Committee, Prof. Richard Adeboye Olaniyan says the call off is a mark of respect for the office of the Special Adviser.

It called on sons and daughters to come to terms with the reality that jaw jaw is always better than war war.

Prof. Olaninyan stressed that “indigenes of Osogbo will do well to know that untill the warring factions sit down to discuss matters of common interest, disunity will continue to hold sway stressing that would not help the progress and development of the tow.”
