The former Governor of Osun State and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola CON, has sympathised with Prince Dotun Babayemi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, over the passing of his mother, Queen Florence Ajoke Waleade Babayemi.
Reports indicate that she died at the age of 86.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Ismail Omipidan, Oyetola encouraged Prince Dotun and the entire people of Gbongan to take solace in the excellent legacy of the departed Olori.
The Minister described the death of the Olori as a collosal loss to the entire people of Osun State.
The minister, who acknowledged the pivotal roles of mothers in children’s upbringing and socialisation, encouraged Prince Dotun Babayemi and his siblings to take solace in the fulfilled and exemplary life that their mother lived while on the planet earth.
“On behalf of my family and members of our great party – the All Progressives Congress (APC), I wholeheartedly express our heartfelt condolences to one of our own, Omo Oba Dotun Babayemi over the loss of his mother, Olori Florence Babayemi.
“It is on record that the late Olori Babayemi was known for her sterling qualities as a woman of impeccable character with highly intimidating track records, highly disciplined, caring and loving mother whose entire life was dedicated to God and humanity.
“I pray the Almighty God grant your beloved mother eternal rest. She lives through you; in your sincerity, good works and deeds,” Oyetola added.
