The Excellent Assembly, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting social change, fostering community cohesion, and advocating for educational values among the youth, recently held its highly anticipated 3-in-1 program in Ede, Osun State.

This event brought together secondary school students from Ede and its surrounding areas with 2024 UTME candidates, and distinguished sons and daughters of Ede land.

At the programme, the formal distribution of free Unified Tertiary Examination Matriculation (UTME) Form Fees, career counseling sessions, and the annual inter-school debate and quiz competition were held .

The UTME candidates were officially presented with cash prizes to support their educational endeavors as a total of more than 50 UTME candidates benefited.

The quiz competition featured 14 schools, each represented by brilliant students who showcased their knowledge and skills. The competition was fierce, but in the end, three schools emerged victorious. Ede High School secured the position of Second Runner-Up, winning 20,000 Naira. Al-Fareed College, Ede, took the First Runner-Up spot, receiving 30,000 Naira. Command Day Secondary School, Ede, was crowned the Winner of the Quiz Competition, earning a prize of 50,000 Naira.

The event was graced by three esteemed guest speakers: Dr. Nureni Lawal, a lecturer at Osun State University; Mr. Dare Deji Durojaye, CEO of Aimpeak Resources and Consults Limited; and Mr. Adams Qomor, the initiator of Ibale, an initiative aimed at promoting the dignity of virginity among young girls in Ede. Each speaker delivered insightful and inspiring messages to the attendees.

A highlight of the event was the discovery of a young girl’s talent. Her eloquent chanting of the Yoruba Oriki captivated the audience, showcasing her amazing talent and beautiful voice.

The Excellent Assembly’s 3-in-1 program was a resounding success, highlighting the organization’s commitment to empowering the youth and fostering educational excellence within the community.
