Abidemi Omirin, a young political mobilizer in Oriade local government and former aide to House of Representatives aspirant in Obokun/Oriade federal constituency, Femi Akosile, has committed suicide, InsightMedia gathered.

According to a source, Omirin, who hailed from Ikeji-Ile, was found dead at his residence in Ilorin, Kwara State with his body dangling.

The incident occured on Wednesday.

The source revealed that Omirin, who until his death was a member of the All Progressives Congress, did not show any sign of depression before he committed suicide.

But it was gathered his wife had left him for Lagos few days before the incident happened.

It was however unclear if the suicide was as a result of his wife’s exit from their home.

Omirin’s body was brought to Ikeji-Ile and has been buried on Saturday.

US-based Akosile also confirmed the incident to InsightMedia..
