In a grand finale of the week-long ceremony marking his first year in the 10th National Assembly, Representative Bamidele Salam, the lawmaker representing Ede South, Ede North, Egbedore, and Ejigbo federal constituency, commissioned 13 major projects across his Constituency.

The projects were officially commissioned by the Governor of Osun State, Sen. Ademola Adeleke, in various communities within the constituency.

The newly commissioned projects include ICT centers, school buildings, several transformers, solar-powered boreholes, and the foundation of a skill acquisition center among others.

Additionally, a road project was flagged off during the event. The projects cut across different communities in the constituency, aimed at improving the lives of the people.

Speaking at the commissioning, Governor Adeleke commended the lawmaker for being a man of the people, stating that only representatives elected on the platform the People’s Democratic Party take development to the grassroots.

He called on constituents to continue supporting the lawmaker and the government at the State level.

Speaking to the press, Hon. Salam expressed his gratitude to his constituents. “I’m appreciative to God and to the people for the support they gave me, which made all these possible. These are some of the things we’ve been able to bring back to our community as a result of the opportunity to represent in the House of Representatives,” he stated.

The lawmaker highlighted his motivation for the projects, emphasizing the importance of providing essential infrastructure for artisans in the constituency. “A lot of people are into one form of artisanship or the other, and they need to power their tools and machines, which they couldn’t do before now. That’s one of the driving forces behind my decision to provide these resources,” Salam said.

Hon. Salam further revealed that some of the projects were personally funded, including a transformer worth ₦40 million, while others, such as the ICT center and classroom project, were facilitated through his efforts, valued at ₦100 million and ₦160 million, respectively.

Oba Adulwasiu Iwaloye, Ologobi of Ogobi thanked the lawmaker, noting that this is the first time the community will be experiencing electricity for decades.
