Ayobami Agboola, a renowned journalist and publisher of CityMirror News, has been honored with the Osun Youth Ambassador Award (OYAA) 2024 for his exceptional contributions to journalism.
The award ceremony, which took place at the Oasis Event Center in Osogbo, Osun State, on December 15, 2024, recognized 16 outstanding youths in Osun State for their remarkable achievements in various fields.
Ayobami Agboola, a graduate of Mass Communication from Osun Polytechnic, Ire, was celebrated by his family, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers, including members of the Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA), led by its Chairman, Mukhtar Ajelogbon.
The event featured a lecture on Mental Health Awareness: Breaking the Stigma among Youth, delivered by Yusuf Abduganiyu Aderemi, PhD.
The guest speaker emphasized the importance of addressing mental health issues among young people and provided practical tips on how to identify and support individuals struggling with mental health.
Other awardees included Ademola Olawoyin, who received an award for excellence in Youth Development, and Ridwan Abiodun, who was recognized for his humanitarian service.
The Osun Youth Ambassador Award is an annual event organized by the Youth Reform Initiative to celebrate outstanding achievements and contributions of young people in Osun State.
