Sporadic gunshots are currently ongoing at the Osun State Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress as thugs have overpowered police officers drafted to the building.
InsightMedia correspondent at the Ogo-Oluwa area of Osogbo, the location of party secretariat reported that party members at the premises run helter skelter for their safety.
The appeal committee who are at the building for their assignment have been rescued by security agents.
APC in Osun have been engulfed by crisis since 8am on Saturday when the factional group, The Osun Progressives stormed the secretariat to submit petitions on the recently conducted ward congresses to the committee.
Governor Gboyega Oyetola had earlier ordered security operatives to take over the party secretariat following clashes that left a man identified as Muyideen Ajetunmobi was injured.
