President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a delegation to meet with the Kano royal family and set date for the wedding of his son, Yusuf with Zahra Bayero
Sources revealed that the delegation is composed of governors, ministers and the director-general of the State Security Service, Yusuf Bichi.
It was gathered that the advance team had already arrived in Kano on Saturday afternoon with bales of kolanut and other articles for the wedding date-fixing formalities.
The delegation is billed to meet with the patriarch of the Bayero family, Idris Bayero, and the emir of Kano, Aminu Bayero, on Sunday.
On March 24, DAILY NiGERIAN exclusively broke the news of the planned wedding of the president’s son with Zahra Bayero, the daughter of Emir of Bichi in Kano State, Nasiru Bayero.
Miss Bayero is currently a bachelor’s student in the United Kingdom, studying architecture.
Yusuf is a 2016 graduate of University of Surrey, Guildford, United Kingdom.
