Youths in the Osun State have been called to support a young and vibrant technocrat to paddle the affairs of the state come 2018.
Comrade Oni Tolulope Adeniyi popularly known as AKOBI, while addressing journalists in Osogbo, osun state Capital, made this this call and emphasized on the reasons why it is necessary to allow technocrats, who he described as “professional in politics” to run under platforms of all parties.
Akobi berated the idea of “recycling” the old politicians that are analogue.
He said, “I want to use this medium to call on youths and stakeholders in the State to look inward and support the young and vibrant technocrats to run on party platforms.
“Instead of recycling the old politicians who have no new idea difference from the normal routine of governance, we need new minds that will inject new ideas into our polity and governance.”
“I and some young and reasonable youths have made up our minds to work and support Benedict Olugboyega Alabi a Bonafide son of ikire, Irewole local government area in osun west senatorial district as the choice of osun youths.
He maintained that over Ten pressure groups of the youth movements including BOA youth social political movement are strongly behind the governorship ambition of Benedict Olugboyega Alabi for his contributions in the youths and women empowerment, as well as other developmental projects he had embarked upon years back before even dreaming of contesting for governorship race in the state.
“As I call on parents and guardians to follow the suit, I equally beseech on the incumbent governor Rauf Aregbesola and APC party in the state to consider ability and strengths of the youths in election processing, saying Nigeria youths form larger percentage of voters, hence their bids should be given a priority.
He said Benedict Olugboyega Alabi BOA is competent and qualify to succeed Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola being a financial expert who has handled various projects worth billions of naira within the country and outside the soil of Nigeria.
