Antonio Conte has confirmed that N’Golo Kante is ‘ready’ to return for Chelsea, indicating that the midfielder will be fit to face Manchester United next week.
The France international has been sidelined since the international break with a hamstring injury and has missed Chelsea’s last four fixtures.
But Conte has revealed that he is now waiting for the ‘right moment’ to reintroduce Kante after his setback.
‘He’s progressing well,’ said the Chelsea boss after the 2-1 win over Everton on Wednesday evening.
‘I am happy, I saw him in a good physical condition.
‘We need to keep calm and find the right moment to put him in the team. Now it will be very easy to tell him to play.
‘We must pay attention and to find the best solution for him. He’s ready.’
This will not be a bad news for Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho as he is also set to welcome Phil Jones from injury.
