Two sisters identified as Blessing and Victoria Chinwuba have been arrested by vigilant officers stationed at the entrance of Kuje prison in Abuja.
They were alleged of attempting to smuggle substances suspected to be Indian hemp and Tramadol into the prison custody.
According to the statement by Blessing, who is the Prime suspect and who allegedly pretended not to know the content of the illegal cargo, she said the consignment was given to her by her younger sister, Victoria.
Victoria didn’t disagree with her sister and also claimed she was unaware of the content and that she collected it from a courier service provider.
The have been handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for further investigation and prosecution.
