The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Kogi East senatorial election inconclusive.

Presidential and National Assembly elections in Kogi East were characterised by violence and disruption of voting.

According to the returning officer, the senatorial election is inconclusive because elections did not hold in 129 polling units.

From the results announced so far, the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho is leading.
