Government of the State of Osun has re-opened the three state tertiary institutions shut down last week.

Governor Gboyega Oyetola in a release last week Monday ordered the indefinite closure of the Osun State College of Education, Ilesa, Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa and the Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke.

The decision was taken to forestall total breakdown of laws and order after a crisis between the residents of Ijesha land and the officers of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company that had led to destruction of public properties.

Announcing the re-opening, the government urges students and staff of the institutions to remain peaceful and shun violence as they return to their place of work.
