The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state of Osun has described the state chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Elder Sunday Akanfe Atidade as a novice who’s ill-informed about the development of the state.
The ruling party described the statement credited to him as unfounded lies from the pit of hell, meant to decieve and misinform the people of the state about the government.
This assessment of the opposition party came from the APC was contained in a statement issued from the party’s Directorate of Publicity, Research and Strategy and signed by its Director, Kunle Oyatomi, which was obtained by InsightMedia on Saturday in Osogbo, the state capital.
“The party said nothing could be more perilous and disasterous than having a novice and ill-infomed person as a team leader.
Osun APC was countering Atidade, who is the Acting chairman of the dying Osun PDP, in a statement credited to him recently after his predecessor’s removal was ratified, that “there is no infrastructural developments in Osun and pensioners are suffering and dying on daily basis as a result of non payment of thier pensions”.
APC said “it is absolutely unfortunate that some PDP leaders in Osun had sold their birthright and that is why they couldn’t manage simple internal crisis and prevent the party from being controlled by a single man – from Ede country home.
“To set the record straight, Osun has witnessed a progressive developmental projects and Socio-economic re-engineering in the last 22months of Oyetola-led APC government, also, this administration alone has constructed more roads than PDP did in Osun for 90 months.”
“It is also on record that Governor Oyetola, from the inception of this administration, takes the welfare of workers and retirees a priority to the extent that active workers and pensioners in Osun are being paid as and when due.”
The party therefore urged the citizens of Osun to stand firm and be resolute in their support for the APC led government and disregard the disorganized PDP politicians who are desperate for power at all cost.
