One of the victims of the Friday clash between suspected cultists and Hausa traders has died in the hospital, while some are in coma, family sources have revealed.

Several people were seriously injured when the cultists unleased terror on Sabo and one person was killed and others rushed to hospital.

On Saturday, one of those receiving treatment at the hospital died due to the injury he sustained in the fracas.

The Sarki Hausa of Sabo Osogbo, who is also the Chairman of Hausa Community in Osun State, Alhaji Lawal Gomina, confirmed the death of the deceased.

He said the person who died earlier was shot dead by the cultists and that the one who died on Friday was seriously injured and died as a result.

The Imam of Isala Mosque at Sabo, Malam Basir Muhammed, said the person who died on Saturday was buried immediately according to Islamic rites.

The crisis started on Thursday evening when the cultists were having a candle night in honour of one of them who died following a clash during a street carnival by some youths.

Imam said the cultists attacked Sabo, set goods ablaze and injured many people before security operatives arrived.

The Imam said some of the victims at the hospital were in coma.
