Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye has described the confirmation of the former service chiefs as Ambassador-designate as a confirmation of the belief that the current Nigerian Senate is an extension of Aso Rock.
Melaye in a tweet on Wednesday questioned why the Senate would confirm those it has recommended their sack as heads of military as Ambassadors-designate.
He tweeted, “Confirmation of service chief: Shame on the Senate who just confirmed that the Nigerian Senate is a department of Aso Rock and the Presidency.
“Confirming those you recommended for sack more than once for gross incompetence as Ambassadors is shame”.
The upper Chambers on Tuesday confirmed former Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olanisokan; former Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Buratai; former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Sidique Abubakar; and former Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Ibok-Ekpo Ibas.
