Gunmen kidnap Kwara businessman

Suspected gunmen have kidnapped a businessman in Oke Onigbin, Irepodun local government area of Kwara state.

The victim, Alaga Olayemi, a farmer, and some of his aides were coming from the maize farm on Wednesday when they were ambushed around 7pm.

It was gathered the two aides managed to escape with cutlass cuts while Olayemi was whisked away.

Kwara Police Command spokesperson Ajayi Okasanmi confirmed the incident.

Okasanmi said: “One Alhaji Alaga Olayemi was reportedly kidnapped in his farm at OkeOnigbin by seven unknown gunmen. Intensive effort to rescue him has been activated by the Police Command.”
