Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Mohammed Ibrahim has resigned.

It was gathered that the CJN tendered his resignation letter on Monday citing inability to discharge his duties due to illness as the reason.

The is coming after weeks of altercation between the jurist and some 14 Supreme court justices.

Following his resignation, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola will be the next Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, following Senate’s confirmation.
