A cleric of African church extraction Rev. Richard Peters has cried out over the the alleged threats to his life by suspected cultists in Akwa Ibom State.
In a recorded phone call made available to our Reporter the Cultist which True Caller captured as Aro Executioner was heard warning Rev Peters to henceforth quit further write ups in support of Umo Eno as they have had enough of it.
They also accused him of allegedly writing against their Boss and mentor (name withheld) who lost the governorship ticket to Umo Eno and jumped to another party and picked their ticket in desperate attempt to contest 2023 governorship election.
According to the recorded voice note played to our reporter, the cultist was over heard warning Rev Peters to count his days if he fails to adhere to their advise .
” We have been monitoring you and know your movements, it won’t take us more than a bullet to waste you but am advising you as a ”brother” to stay clear because this election will come and go and this is our last warning to you”
On his own, Rev Peters was overheard pleading with the Cultists to stop further threats to his life as he is only a preacher of the bible and a servant of God.
” I am not a cultist and have never joined any cult group, I am a preacher and servant of the most high God. Am also a public figure, I don’t have any business with cultists and will swear with my life on this. Am also ready to appear in radio station or Television to announce before the world that I have no business with cultists. I am a lover of peace and humanity please stop further threats to my life”
Speaking after the encounter with our Reporter, Rev Peters told our Reporter that his life is under threat because of his political affiliation. ” I on daily basis receive threat messages from unknown people to cut short my life. I was told some strange looking guys came looking for me in church but met my absence”
Rev Peters also said he has reported the matter to the police for prompt investigation and possible arrest of the culprits.
