The leadership of the Ilobu-Asake Development Union has announced the setting of the committee to oversee 31st Ilobu Day Celebration.

The committee, which will be chaired by the National Vice President 1 of the Union, Alh. Ishiaq Awotunde, was ratified at the National Executive Council Meeting held on Saturday at the Ilobu House Complex.

The meeting, which was presided over by the Union President, Pastor Olufemi Salako, also approved this year’s theme to be “My Town, My Life (Ilu mi, Aye mi)”.

Speaking at the meeting, Salako said this year’s celebration promises to be unique, more robust and highly participatory, hence the need to have committee early.

The NEC also ratified the composition of six sub-committees to handle Branch mobilisation and awareness, Health, Publicity, Venues, Finance, and Cultural and Entertainment aspects of the programme.

The celebration will climax on Saturday, November 11th, 2023.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Awotunde called on every son and daughter of Ilobu to participate actively as this year’s celebration is going to be loaded with benefits for everyone.

He also called on everyone with ideas and suggestions on how to make it better to reach out to his committee as soon as possible.
