A German multinational company, Henkel, which is home to brands such as WAW and Nittol detergents, recently hosted the top five finalists of the ongoing eighth season of the singing competition, Nigerian Idols— Ose Daniel, Goodness, Victory, Precious Mac, and Quest— to a ‘victory party’ in Lagos as part of its commitment to developing, empowering and celebrating talented youths in the country.


The party, which took place at a restaurant on Victoria Island, Lagos, afforded the contestants a golden opportunity to unwind and network before the final stage of the competition.


Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Henkel, Rajat Kapur, stated that the company was deeply committed to contributing to Nigeria’s economic growth and empowering its citizens through the sponsorship of various initiatives, such as Nigerian Idol.

He said, “We will continue to invest in talent development, create sustainable employment opportunities, and drive impactful corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Our aim is to foster long-term growth and make a meaningful difference in the lives of Nigerians, thereby solidifying our position as a multinational company that truly cares about the country and its people.”


The company’s Head of Marketing, Ivie Akalu, also reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting young creative talents. She added that the Waw Party was organised to celebrate the showmanship of the budding talents who, through sheer hard work, discipline and a sense of dedication, had enrolled themselves among the outstanding talents in the music industry.”
