Nofisat Sikiru who became a viral sensation during the Endbadgovernace national protest for carrying an empty pot , said hunger was her driving force for protesting

Nofisat shared her ordeal of life struggles in an interview with bbcnews where she highlighted some of her experiences that led up to her going out to protest

She said “I want to tell the world that I have nothing to eat and that was why I came out to protest. I sell food at ojota. I have done all sorts of jobs and even lost my money to thieves. I lost my child while I was in cell in June 12th and I’ve become stagnant ever since, this was my major reason for coming out with a pot”

Nofisat thanked her benefactors who have been reaching out to her and she promised to use the money for her business “ I want to thank the person that gave me money and pray he will continue to grow and I promise to put the money into my business and not on other frivolities”

She also implored the Government to try and lessen the hardship on the people as it has become unbearable
