The Coalition of Concerned Nigerian Citizens has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure an inclusive national youth dialogue, free from politicization.
This demand comes as part of the coalition’s broader push for good governance and an end to anti-people policies.
According to Rauf Sodiq, spokesperson for the coalition, “The national youth dialogue proposed by the president is welcome, but it must genuinely represent the voices of youth stakeholders and civil society organizations.”
The coalition emphasized that previous dialogues have been undermined by the recruitment of loyal persons, rendering them ineffective.
“We urge the president to set up transparent modalities for the dialogue and make them public,” Sodiq added.
“The government must listen to citizens’ demands and address real problems,” Sodiq emphasized.
“Anything less will exacerbate the concerns of youth and masses struggling with hunger and economic crisis.”
