The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the national leadership of the party to investigate Hon. Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, Chairman of the House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), over his recent statement at the Ede Day celebration.

Doguwa, representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency of Kano State, was quoted as saying, “For the few hours we have been around in this state.

we have seen a lot of developmental projects and developmental programmes starting from infrastructure, human resources development”.

He also described Osun as “a no-go area” due to the “political strength” and “dexterity”of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

The Osun APC has condemned Doguwa’s statement, describing it as “uncomplimentary”, “obnoxious”, and “anti-party”.

The party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, demanded that Doguwa either retract his statement or explain why he made such comments, which allegedly “lowered the estimation of our formidable party in the eyes of the Osun State electorate”.

The APC has also accused Doguwa of being “misled” and “railroaded” into believing that the developmental projects in Ede, Governor Adeleke’s hometown, were representative of the entire state’s development.
