Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, kicked off a three-day visit to Kwara State on Tuesday, inaugurating several signature projects of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
The visit began with the inauguration of an ICT Community Centre at the Kwara State University of Education, built by the NITDA in collaboration with the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), a foundation of the First Lady.
Senator Tinubu praised Governor AbdulRazaq and his wife for their dedication to the success of the ICT Centre, noting that it would greatly benefit youth and women.
“I have been informed that these centres have greatly benefited our youth, especially women and girls, by providing invaluable opportunities for growth and empowerment,” she said.
The First Lady also inaugurated an ultra-modern Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Dr. Amuda Aluko Ward, two major projects of Governor Abdulrazaq.
Her itinerary includes the inauguration of the Emir Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari Flyover, Gen. Tunde Idiagbon Flyover, and the groundbreaking ceremony for the Oluremi Tinubu Hospital.
Governor AbdulRazaq appreciated President Tinubu and the First Lady for the impactful initiative, emphasizing the essential role of technology in the state’s progress.
The Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, prayed for the President, the First Lady, and Governor Abdulrazaq, commending the Governor’s achievements and support for President Tinubu.
The visit also included a state dinner at the Flower Garden, a recreational facility recently resuscitated by Governor Abdulrazaq.
The First Lady was accompanied by Vice President’s wife Nana Shettima and other dignitaries, including Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma and First Ladies from across the country.
