Music executive Paulo Okoye has hit back at singer Spyro, who recently claimed he faced financial struggles while signed to Okoye’s record label.

Spyro alleged that he had to take out a loan to survive because he didn’t earn anything from the label, criticizing Okoye’s ability to manage it.

“I was signed to a record label owned by a billionaire with three Rolls Royces, yet nothing was happening. I wasn’t even getting a dime,” Spyro had stated.

In response, Okoye denied the allegations and shared proof of his financial support for Spyro on his Instagram story.

Okoye posted receipts showing he spent N12 million on Spyro, which included N4.2 million in expenses, two music videos, and the singer’s first international trips to Dubai and the UK.

Okoye captioned the post: “Wow wow – 2017. Spyro expenses 4.2m + 2 music videos + first-ever travel to Dubai, UK, etc. Flight, hotel, etc. Total spend N12m. Money made with Spyro = 0 Kobo Naira. But it is well, I’m happy for him.”
