Leverkusen won the Bundesliga title unbeaten last season but have lost just one match in the 2024-25 campaign. Their seven draws, compared to Bayern’s three, have kept them behind in the title race.

While they have fallen behind in the league title race this campaign, Alonso’s side have reached the semi-final of the DFB-Pokal and are on course to defend their title. They have also secured an automatic qualification slot in the Champions League round of 16 after finishing sixth in the league stage.
Bayern Leverkusen next Match would be a crucial one against Bayern Munich on Friday, February 15 where they will get a chance to reduce their gap with Vincent Kompany side.
