The Upper Area Court I in Ilorin, Kwara State, has dismissed the criminal complaint filed against Nollywood actress and businesswoman, Elizabeth Anjorin, popularly known as Lizzy Anjorin.

The case, which involved Saheed Mosadoluwa (Ibile) and Harmony Gardens and Estate Development Limited, saw both parties engaged in intense legal arguments. A. M. Abdulraheem represented the complainant, while Lizzy Anjorin was defended by a team of lawyers, including Prof. O. Y. Abdulhamid, I. M. Adedo, Taofeeq Olateju, and Abdullahi.

The Attorney General intervened in the case, seeking its termination, and the court granted this application, resulting in the dismissal of the initial complaint filed on February 26, 2025, as well as the counter-complaint filed on March 11, 2025.

In his ruling on March 12, 2025, Presiding Judge Yunus Kayode stated: “Having listened to the submissions from both the complainant’s counsel and the defendant’s counsel, particularly the Attorney General’s application for the termination of the case, the direct complaint dated February 24, 2025, and the cross-complaint dated March 11, 2025, are hereby terminated, and the defendants are discharged.”

Lizzy Anjorin, in an interview on Friday, described the case as a “cross-sue,” stating that both she and the complainant became defendants in a land dispute that occurred in Lagos.

She further explained that despite the complainant’s filing of the criminal suit in Ilorin, she presented her evidence, counter-sued, and both parties became defendants in the case. Anjorin expressed gratitude to her fans, her legal team, and the Ilorin judicial system for their support throughout the process.
